Remnant University was established in 1997 with the fundamental mindset of training leaders with faith in Christ, by granting all students with the required academic background and moral qualifications with an equal opportunity to receive education. As a non-profit organization, Remnant University is not bound to any particular denomination or political stance and has been established for the express purpose of nurturing Gospel-oriented elites for the sake of extending the kingdom of God. In 2009, the name of the University was changed to “Remnant University,” which better reflects the University’s purpose and educational goals. Remnant University was originally named “American University of California” from 1997 to 2009.
Remnant University is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.
